Our Epic Tale

Once upon a time, not too long ago, two interior designing princesses sat discussing the dilemmas of the day, as they often did. They were the best of friends and had worked together for many years decorating some of the grandest palaces in the land (mostly in the southeast!). Both loved designing interiors and finding cool, hip lines of home decor, fashion accessories and home furnishings to share with their loyal following. They also shared a passion for fashion that they had passed down to their own princesses.

The dilemma facing the designing princesses on this particular day did not center around selections of the most fashionable designer fabrics in the land. The dilemma was far greater. The fashionable princess of one of the divas was leaving the comforts of her chic bedchamber and moving to the lowly quarters of a bland, institutional-feeling college dorm room only to discover there was no college dorm bedding or college dorm decor fitting this fashion forward princess! This was of great concern to the second designing princess knowing well that her own fashionable princesses would one day be forced to endure the same dreaded fate, destined to cope with the unimaginable low quality, limited selection in dorm decorating essentials that the eldest princess was currently facing.

The designing princesses knew what they had to do. It would be up to them to rescue all future fashionable princesses of the land from a fate worse than a bad haircut, worse than putting on pants that you swear shrunk when they were washed, worse than an outfit with no accessories, worse than… you get the picture! The need was real…. rescue all future princesses from the same old “bed in a bag” college dorm bedding and ordinary dorm decor. Could the designing pair do it?? Could they deliver a trendy line of high-quality college dorm bedding, dorm lighting, dorm accessories, and college dorm wall decor on a pauper’s budget?? The task was great, but like all smart designers, they knew that the only way to get their hearts’ desire was to do it themselves…. And so the heroines’ journey began.

Together they set out to search the land for super-stylish fabrics to create their many enchanting and affordable college dorm bedding collections for girls, trendy dorm lighting, funky (but light-weight!) dorm window coverings, cool college dorm accessories (including way too many college laundry bag choices!), and fabulous dorm room wall decor. And so…. Deck My Dorm was born.

Wait.... the epic tale doesn’t stop here. On their journey, the designing princesses created and discovered even more interior decorating options. It was more than they had imagined in their wildest dreams! One spectacular shopping site would not be enough. There was still a need for super-stylish bedding, trendy lighting, funky (but not so light weight) window coverings, cool accessories (where laundry bags were no longer a concern), and fabulous (but slightly more expensive) wall decor. Peace Love and Decorating soon followed.

The designing princesses dreams came true!! All the fashionable princesses can leave their homes to live happily in the comforts of their very own transformed hip and stylish college dorm living quarters!!
